6. IATROGENIC INFECTIONS BY IMMUNO-GLOBULIN PREPARATION

In patients with hemophilia, the use of HunIg has been associated with iatrogenic infections such as infection by retroviruses. The most effective way for prevention of transmission of infectious microorganisms, by plasma preparations including natural immuno-globulin is heat-treatment of these preparations (84).
