At this stage, the eye vesicle starts to evaginate from the prosencephalic region and the pros-encephalon starts to exhibit two lateral evaginations of the eye anlagen. At the tip of the notochord, aggregates of the mesodermal cells are seen underneath of the center of the prosencephalon.
