Donor Semen An important facet of the services offered by Cryogenic Laboratories, Inc. is to provide cryopreserved donor semen to physicians who practice therapeutic donor insemination (TDI). CLI can provide the physician with thoroughly screened, tested and quarantined donor specimens. Donors may be selected from the confidential Semen Donor Catalogue which lists the physical, educational and social-economic characteristics of each donor. To assist in the selection process, Donor Profiles, Donor Portfolios, Photo Assisted Donor Selection and Data Assisted Donor Selection (D.A.D.S.TM) are available upon request. Appropriate bacteriology, serology and virology tests for sexually transmitted diseases are routinely performed along with an examination of the donor's medical and genetic background. All donor specimens are held in quarantine for at least six months. Following negative serology, the selected frozen semen sample may be released to the physician for therapeutic insemination.
