BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Before you install any software or hardware on your computer, follow the following precautionary actions to insure that if something goes wrong after you have installed a new software or hardware, you can restore your system to its original state.

1. Click on "Start" on your Windows 95 tool bar.

2. Click on the "Control Panel" icon.

3. Click on the "Add-Remove" program icon.

4. Click on the "Startup disk" icon.

5. Make bootable emergency start up disks.

6. Make a full back up of your system.

7. Run system set up and make a note of all the drive and memory data listed in the CMOS.

8. Copy the "autoexec.bat" and "config.sys" files to a floppy disk.

9. Read the instruction on installation first. Some softwares may need all other programs to be closed before the installation is initiated.

10. If possible, use the "Add-Remove" program function of the Windows 95 rather than running the "Install.exe". When you wish to uninstall the program, the "Add-Remove" program of the Windows 95 will do a more thorough cleaning of your system. If you have not installed the program through the "Add-Remove" program of the Windows 95, you can not uninstall programs through the same function.

11. Try to install programs during working hours so that if you encounter a problem, you can contact the technical support of the company.
