CLINICAL FEATURES

  • Common in parotid gland and then in submandibular gland
  • More common in old age (>50)
  • Equal frequency in men and women (clear cell variant, more common in women)
  • Ionizing radiation is the predisposing condition
  • Presents with swelling and rarely pain
