About the Frontiers in Bioscience Research Institute

Frontiers in Bioscience, a non-profit organization established in 1996, proudly launched the Frontiers in Bioscience Research Institute in Aging and Cancer in 2011. Our mission is deeply rooted in a commitment to benefit humanity on a significant scale.
At the Institute, we have pioneered the development of advanced biological clocks capable of accurately predicting biological age. These innovative tools empower biologists to effectively screen for promising anti-aging drugs and interventions. We have rigorously validated our clocks, demonstrating their reliability in reflecting the anti-aging effects of established strategies, pharmaceuticals, and supplements.
The primary aim of the Institute is to discover pathways for extending human lifespan and achieving rejuvenation. Our approach involves understanding the seemingly infinite regenerative potential inherent in stem cells and cancer cells. We then apply this knowledge to reverse epigenetic aging and restore cellular health in normal aging cells. We have already demonstrated a 30% extension in the lifespan of human cells in vitro and are advancing our understanding of how to generate stem cells for regenerative medicine by modulating metabolic pathways, thereby also reversing aging processes in human cells.
Drawing inspiration from the inherent immortality observed in cancer and stem cells, our research also focuses on understanding and potentially replicating a similar resilient state within aging somatic cells. We aim to translate these fundamental insights into tangible approaches for promoting healthier aging and combating age-related diseases.
